Podcast Review: Whack My Bush
Follow the adventures and misadventures of the world’s leaders as the Whack My Bush team deliver the prick that punctures their pomposity. This is the line that greets you as the show opens ready to tell you another story about George Bush, Tony Blair, Condoleeza Rice, John Prescott, Arnold Schwarzenegger and guests on their adventures to find oil, Santa, fight the war on terror and get lost amongst other things in this 5 minute chunk of comedy that is very funny and doesn’t take itself seriously. This is no political heavyweight.
Written and performed by a group of British comedians, the voices of our best known politicians are done with the quality of a prime-time show, the sound of George’s caricature is particularly entertaining, leaving you to enjoy the excellent script writing that makes WMB a must listen on your journey to work or wherever you take the time to tune in.
Much of our heroes time is taken up by creating havoc wherever they go, leaving Condoleeza and Arnie to save the day, whilst Fatboy Prescott will do whatever he’s told for a mince pie and a few boars. It’s this scenario of Bush and Blair running around like children with their forlorn parents Rice and the Arnie the Governator being left to clear up the mess in a thrice weekly bite-size chunk that gives this show constant appeal.
The only bad thing about this show is that its only 5 minutes long as you wish it was longer, but then maybe that’s its secrete- leave‘em begging for more.
Whack My Bush will make you look silly on the train as you try to contain your laughter - genius.
