Review: The Podcast Reviewer
The Podcast Reviewer, as the name suggests, is a podcast that reviews other podcasts, a good idea and one that should be the starting point for anyone looking to dissect the myriad of podcasts already available.
Presented by ‘Bob’ this show unfortunately is not a decisive and insightful look at the podcasts that he chooses to review, rather a short description and a glance over the podcasts subject matter. I could forgive this if he presented the show with some gusto and an entertaining opinion but Bob is not a born entertainer and so the show dribbles along without conclusive critique. The Podcast Reviewer feels like your reading an internal memo on the viability of a new company’s drainage system - informative but not something you would want to do again. His comments on whichever shows that are unfortunate enough to come across his gaze should be taken with a grain of salt, best to use it as a guide and then make up your own mind.
To be fair, there is information to be gleaned from this podcast in terms of introducing you to new shows but it is a testament to your staying power if you stand to listen to the whole show with pressing the skip button.
The Podcast Reviewer also seems to spend most of his time talking about anything other than podcasts which is a shame as podcasting is screaming out for a show like this, but as ever it needs to be done well. Maybe in time Bob will find focus and the show will become a valuable resource to the community, so it may be worth checking it out from time to time.
A starting point but hardly entertaining.

keep at it Bob, very few people find their groove at the first go, hard work and being honest with yourself as you clearly are will reap rewards.
If i was to make a podcast it would be rubbish, thats why i write about it instead ;o] so congratulations for giving it your best.
All the best for the future.
Daniel.
