Yesterday I came across a small newspaper called The Niagara Gazette. The interesting thing about this paper was the way they were doing their daily news roundups. Rather than simply post the headlines of the day - the managing editor David Arkin reads them, in a pretty energetic fashion, on their Daily News Podcast.

Now their is nothing revolutionary about this at all - its just nice to see companies/media outlets (especially in smaller markets with smaller budgets) thinking outside the box a bit. I would venture to guess that for many residents of Niagara that was/is their first taste of a podcast. The more people are exposed - the more it spreads….
